Project Partners
The DIFUSE consortium consists of a subset of members of the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU) formed in 1997 when eleven “young“ entrepreneurial universities signed a charter.
All ECIU members are young establishments, nearly all of which were founded to enhance regional development as well as the traditional areas of teaching and research. All members have technology transfer offices, innovation and entrepreneurship activities and are engaged in facilitating start-ups, spin-outs etc. They represent arguably Europe’s leading universities in the field of TT practice and commercial exploitation of IP. Members are involved in every dimension of knowledge transfer to industry from science parks, to entrepreneurship education. Being early adopters of exploitation methods, all have experience with different organisational set ups for TT and many of the partners perform TT and research management tasks not just on behalf of their own universities, but also for other institutions of higher learning within the region. The partners are well acquainted with all the issues involved in TT at a practical level.
The approach is collective so all partners are contributing to all work packages and all deliverables as this project is about exchange of knowledge and experiences.
